Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Fundraising and Philanthropy Executive to join our client's fundraising team. In this new role, you will be responsible for securing funds from trusts, foundations, and individual donors. The successful candidate will have a passion for making a difference, strong writing skills, and experience in relationship management, grant applications, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Trusts and Foundations Fundraising

• Research, identify, and engage with a portfolio of charitable trusts and foundations that align with the charity's goals.
• Prepare and submit compelling grant applications, funding proposals, and reports tailored to each funder’s requirements.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with trusts and foundations, ensuring timely updates, acknowledgments, and impact reports.
• Maintain an up-to-date calendar of deadlines for grant submissions and reporting, ensuring compliance with funder guidelines.

Philanthropy and Major Donor Engagement

• Build and nurture existing relationships with major donors, ensuring a personalized and strategic approach to donor stewardship.
• Work closely with senior leadership to identify and develop opportunities to secure gifts.

Research and Strategy

• Conduct ongoing research to identify new fundraising opportunities, including emerging trends in philanthropy.
• Develop strategies to enhance and grow the charity’s trusts and major donor portfolios.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of trust and philanthropy income streams, providing regular reports to senior management.

Collaboration and Cross-functional Work

• Ensure smooth internal processes for grant management, and written proposals. 
• Support the overall fundraising strategy by contributing to team meetings, sharing insights, and collaborating on multi-disciplinary projects.

Key Skills and Experience

• Proven track record of successful trust and foundation fundraising, with a strong understanding of the grant-making process.
• Experience in major donor fundraising, including relationship management, donor stewardship, and event organization.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, clear, and concise proposals and reports.
• Strong research skills to identify new funding opportunities and develop targeted strategies for engagement.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, comfortable communicating with donors and trustees at all levels.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

The individual in this position will primarily manage candidate examination schedules and ensure the precise publication of examination results. Operating within a high-profile, high-risk sector of the College, the role includes assisting the Data and Statistics Manager (DSM) in gathering information to generate reports for crucial stakeholders. Main responsibilities –

• Perform all essential preliminary tasks related to online examination reservations, bookings, and revisions of published information before the commencement of each application window
• Supply data and compile communications to facilitate the prompt resolution of any complaints and issues that may arise during this process
• Compile examination results for candidates and distribute them to deaneries and relevant parties as needed
• Foster connections with essential stakeholders and support the Data & Statistics Manager in data-related tasks, including the compilation of data for external partners

Requirements –

• Possessing education equivalent to at least A level, inclusive of mathematics, statistics, computer science, and/or data analysis/management
• Demonstrated experience in managing, manipulating, and interpreting substantial volumes of data
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Access, and Word
• Collaborative team member actively contributing in meetings

The successful candidate will support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people, managing child protection concerns and complaints and participating in reviews to provide the best outcome for everyone.
 

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that each young person has an assigned primary worker and team member are aware of each child’s relevant plans and their responsibilities for its implementation.
• Performing the role of "on-call manager" to provide out-of-hours support for the home, on a rotating basis
• Attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve optimal outcomes for young people
• Maintaining accurate written records to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation to occur

• Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation
• Diploma L3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Willingness to complete Diploma L5 L&M in H&SC
•  Knowledge of CHR 2015 and the QS
