Sustainability

Sustainability is something that all companies should be taking seriously

What is Sustainability?

The avoidance of the depletion of natural resources in order to maintain an ecological balance. Though this is not exactly the same when looking at sustainability in relation to a business… This specifically looks into how a business can lower their negative impact on the environment, community, or society.

So, what are we doing as a company to try to help the world?

In regard to society, we cultivate diversity and inclusion in our own office and in our candidates. We ensure that our clients will get a wide variety of applicants to choose from, keeping their team as diverse as our own! We love working with companies who are looking to improve the future. We always make sure to advertise whenever we have a green job available for our candidates as we know how integral these roles are and want them to be filled by the perfect people!

We are consistently checking with our own sources to ensure we are not pushing our carbon footprint beyond what it has ever been. An example of this is by ensuring our staff travel by public transport as much as possible, we have even increased pay for certain staff so that their travel is covered. We have plans to put together all of our findings and get a specialised company to work out our true carbon footprint so that we will be able to properly monitor this in the future. Our current system was more appropriate for when we had fewer employees, but now we are growing, we are making sure that we get this information all in line so that we can do what is best for the planet via our company.

TGP knows that the future of our planet depends on how we as humans (and companies) treat it. As we are aware of this, we are planning some future charity events wherein we will raise money for eco-friendly charities (as well as previously having done the same for charities who help with homelessness).

As we are aware of this, we are planning some future charity events wherein we will raise money for eco-friendly charities (as well as previously having done the same for charities who help with homelessness). We hope that doing as much for charity as possible will outweigh a lot of our carbon footprint that we cannot immediately reduce without high amounts of waste. Counterbalance is a good starting point for our company when we know that there are issues like our energy bill which cannot quickly be reduced/replaced.
