Job Description

Company & Role Overview 

In this role you will work closely with the relevant Marketing and Fundraising teams to advance the awareness within their designated target audiences. The post holder will be responsible for managing their press and media strategy to deliver their fundraising and brand awareness goals to strengthen their position as experts in children’s palliative care.

Job Type – Part Time (3 days a week)

Salary - £28,000 + Benefits (Pro rated)
 

 

Responsibilities

  • Create innovative and compelling content and concepts for fundraising, brand awareness, and advocacy campaigns, aiming to boost targeted engagement and highlight the organization's efforts to achieve their fundraising goals on both a national and local scale.

  • Cultivate and sustain impactful connections with celebrities to enhance our client's visibility among crucial audiences.
  • Create extensive content, including interviews with families facing the challenges of seriously ill children, and disseminate it across diverse channels to reach varied audiences.
  • Assist in executing media appeals, encompassing press & radio.
  • Establish and nurture productive relationships with significant external contacts such as supporters, influential individuals, organizational decision-makers, committees, media contacts, and suppliers.
  • Conduct research to bolster fundraising, awareness, and political campaigns.
  • Implement robust measures within the department to promptly and efficiently address inquiries and requests from supporters, donors, colleagues, ensuring their reasonable expectations are met.
  • Oversee the effective monitoring and analysis of media activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not desirable).
  • Proven experience in delivering a press office function.
  • Proven experience in charity work or SME environments.
  • Experience with working in volunteer/intern management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging presentations.
