Main responsibilities
- Writing press releases
- Writing engaging social media content to create appropriate images or graphics
- Dealing with requests for information about incidents to more complex, sensitive corporate issues
- Judge how to proceed with these enquiries to ensure fairness
- Act as the first point of contact into the communications team for all media enquiries
- Responding to requests for interviews
Requirements
- Experience of working in a busy press office
- Experience of supporting implementing and evaluating public relations campaigns to support corporate/local initiatives
- Confidence liaising with a wide range of media - national, local and trade - whilst maintaining confidentiality
