Our client a registered charity in the health care sector is seeking a hardworking candidate to come and join their team. The role will entail responding to daily enquiries from external organisations and to have a proactive role in broadcasting and printing media,

 

Main responsibilities

  • Writing press releases
  • Writing engaging social media content to create appropriate images or graphics
  • Dealing with requests for information about incidents to more complex, sensitive corporate issues
  • Judge how to proceed with these enquiries to ensure fairness
  • Act as the first point of contact into the communications team for all media enquiries
  • Responding to requests for interviews

 

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a busy press office
  • Experience of supporting implementing and evaluating public relations campaigns to support corporate/local initiatives
  • Confidence liaising with a wide range of media - national, local and trade - whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • Experience working in the health care sector

    • Experience in an events role
    • Educated to at least A-level standard or equivalent level of experience.
    • Effective use of IT systems including Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
    • Flexibility to work evenings to support event delivery
