Our client is a UK leading Charity. They help to provide crucial support to people with Complex disabilities all across the UK for well over the last 10 years. Our client is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to add to the team. We are looking for the right individual to join now to be part of an exciting future ahead.

This role will provide vital assistance and support across the Finance department.

Main Responsibilities

  • To carry out all aspects of the role in a satisfactory manner and within the guidance of the Organisation’s Goals, Values and Strategic aims.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Management and Head of Finance to prepare the Annual Budget & Business Plan
  • Create an Annual Budget timetable
  • Design Annual Budget setting processes and procedures
  • Design Budget modelling processes
  • Perform financial modelling for new business contracts
  • Work with the Financial Controller on month end closure processes
  • Provide training to Managers on managing budgets effectively
  • Prepare Monthly Management Accounts
  • Perform Monthly Management Accounts meetings with Budget holders to document and explain variances from Budget
  • Support the Senior Management Team to take timely action to address deviations from Budget
  • Produce Monthly Management information reporting
  • Support the work of internal and external audit
  • Lead the Business Support to all areas of the organisation

Requirements

  • CIMA, ACCA OR ACA qualified, CIMA is preferable 
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience at senior level of Financial Management & Budget Controls
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills

    Responsibilities

    • Strategise assignments and coordinating with clients to address their needs and key aspects of the task.
    • Evaluating the feasibility of outsourcing versus in-house completion of tasks.
    • Formulating budgets and timelines, obtaining client approval, and ensuring adherence to these parameters.
    • Supervising the progress of assignments, delegating tasks, and reviewing staff work to maintain quality standards.

  • Deputy Manager

    Role Overview

    Our client is currently in the market for a Deputy Manager to come and join their busy team! The successful candidate will support and manage the staff to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people, managing child protection concerns and complaints and participating in reviews to provide the best outcome for everyone.
     

    Responsibilities

    • Ensuring that each young person has an assigned primary worker and team member are aware of each child’s relevant plans and their responsibilities for its implementation.
    • Performing the role of "on-call manager" to provide out-of-hours support for the home, on a rotating basis
    • Attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve optimal outcomes for young people
    • Maintaining accurate written records to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation to occur
    • Working in partnership with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people
    • Assisting with the recruitment and retention of staff, including induction training for new staff into the home
    • Providing consultation and informal advice and support to staff in relation to day-to-day matters
    • Conducting annual appraisals of staff, addressing issues concerning conduct and competence of staff where necessary
    • Ensuring that budgets and resources are allocated appropriately and managed effectively, and the use of finances is properly monitored, including petty cash returns and staff attendance records
    • Developing, in consultation with young people and staff, routines concerning all aspects of child care, creating schedules that fit best
    • Ensuring that there are appropriate and adequate reporting and recording systems in place to comply with Quality Standards
     

    Requirements

    • Knowledge of the Children Act and other relevant legislation
    • Diploma L3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
    • Willingness to complete Diploma L5 L&M in H&SC
    •  Knowledge of CHR 2015 and the QS
